Settings Portability

How to export and import all your RenameClick settings, presets, and custom instructions between devices or as a backup.

RenameClick lets you export all your settings to a file and import them on another device — or use it as a backup.

Export

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Export Settings
  3. Choose a save location
  4. A .rclick file is created containing all your settings

Import

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Import Settings
  3. Select a .rclick file
  4. Settings are restored and the app reloads

Data Reason
API keys Security — keys are encrypted and device-specific
License/auth data Tied to your account, not transferable by file
AI model files Too large (~4 GB); download separately on each device
Processing results Workspace-specific, not portable

Restrictions

  • Import is blocked while Auto Flow Watch is ON — stop all watching rows first
  • After import, the app reloads to apply all settings
  • Importing overwrites current settings (make an export first if you want to keep them)

  • Team sharing: Create a standard set of presets and share the .rclick file with colleagues
